Parent Resources FAQs the questions every Elevate parent asks.
Questions parents ask
Questions? We have answers.
These are the six questions parents ask us most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, call or text the studio at (229) 328-0139 and a real person will get back to you. There is no such thing as a silly question when it is about your child.
Does my child need any dance experience?
No. No experience is needed for any class at Elevate, and every class meets your child exactly where they are. Total beginners are the norm here, not the exception, and instructors teach to the dancers actually in the room. The easiest first step is to book a free trial class.
What age can my child start?
Children can start at age 3. The youngest dancers begin in Creative Movement, built for ages 3 to 4, and from there the pathway runs clearly through the kid, tween, and teen levels, with placement by age. See the classes page to find the level that fits your child.
Can my child join in the middle of the year?
Yes, dancers join mid year all the time and are welcomed warmly. The season runs September through May, but there is no deadline on getting started, and we will help your child settle in quickly. Reach out and we will find the right class together. Call or text (229) 328-0139.
What should my child wear to class?
Each level has its own dress code, from the bubblegum pink dresses in Creative Movement to the black leotards of Ballet 6, and you will get the full details at placement. Two rules never change: small stud earrings only, and dance shoes stay inside the building. See the full dress code.
How much do classes cost?
Tuition is billed monthly from September through May and depends on how many classes per week your dancer takes, plus a one time $30 registration fee per dancer. We walk every family through full pricing when you book a trial, so there are no surprises. See the full tuition table.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Missed classes happen, and makeup classes are encouraged so your dancer does not fall behind. Just check in with the studio and we will point you to the right makeup option for your child's age and level. It takes one quick message to sort out. Get in touch with the studio.
The first step is always a free class.
One free class, no card, no commitment. Ages 3 to adult, every level welcome.
