The dress code

What is the dress code for each class?

Each class level has its own dress code, and you will get the full details at placement. Two rules apply to every class: no jewelry aside from small stud earrings, for safety and performance preparation, and dance shoes are never worn outside the building or in parking lots.

Creative Movement

Bubblegum pink dance dress, ballet pink tights, ballet pink ballet shoes, hair in a bun.

Pre-Ballet

Periwinkle blue dance dress, ballet pink tights, ballet pink shoes, hair in a bun.

Ballet 1 to 6

  • Ballet 1: lavender leotard or dance dress
  • Ballet 2: lemon leotard or dance dress
  • Ballet 3: emerald leotard
  • Ballet 4: navy leotard
  • Ballet 5: burgundy leotard
  • Ballet 6: black leotard
  • All ballet levels: ballet pink tights, ballet pink shoes, hair in a bun

Boys and Men, All Levels

White or level-matching fitted crew-neck shirt, black tights or fitted pants, black socks, black ballet, tap, or jazz shoes.

Tap

Any color leotard, pink or skin-toned tights (skin-toned needed for the show), caramel tap shoes, ponytail or bun.

Jazz

Any color leotard, pink or skin-toned tights, caramel jazz shoes, ponytail or bun.

Contemporary

Any color leotard, tights rolled up, ponytail.

Hip Hop

Street clothes allowed, clean tennis shoes, ponytail.

Tumbling

Leotard with boy-cut shorts or a biker leotard, bare feet, ponytail.
